Where am I heading? - I can see it now. Birding.

As usual traveling is part of the hobby. Yeah! The Bird site is taking shape. I am pleased that I am not after the traffic anymore. Rather, I would use this site to documents my experiences and pictures that I captured.

Introducing Myself

I must admit that I pulled this page out from my archive. As you can see, in it, a long list showing diversified interests. Definitely a sign of growing old - I am reminiscing of the old days and activities that I cannot get involved any more. Yes, I have also removed links to the headings. These numerous sites, many of which are still available on the internet. Well, perhaps existing as debris's of yesteryears. Believe me, I sincerely wanted to get them updated. Hopefully I get to working on updating some of them, e.g. Waterfall Site. Throw in a much needed a new look. Hi! My name is Khong, an automotive engineer by training. I would term myself as a gallivanting photographer. Recording interesting sights. In my collections, from the many trigger happy guys, are thousands of hard copies, slides and digital pictures. Having said that, I have difficulty in finding an appropriate picture of myself to show you as to how I look like. Retired 10 years now - I spent my time - traveling. Every week! Nope, last year 2006, was bad.  2007? Ahmmm- is almost back to normal pace.

What had I being doing all of the times
Visiting Caves - It all stated with the visit to caves. One after another in Peninsula. Oh! then in Krabi, there are many caves. Adventure? Next, accidental encounter with the Book "Waterfalls of Malaysia". The details in it opened a new chapter. There must be much more to find with that new inspiration.
Trekking in the open - From adventure caving to real adventure in the jungle. We trekked and we climbed.
Create my own  travelogue  - The wider the fields that the photographs covered, the more we want. "Waterfalls" stood out and remained as a tangible theme for some years.
Travelers' tales - Then, put yourself in situ - understand the culture, food, architecture, mythical opium trade and minority races.

The astounding performance of this little jalopy breathes inspiration. In the years 1993-97, I had a group of traveling companions. Our Motto was- If "Bugsie" can survive the trip, then we can drive the distance?

Here I posted up 3 sample pictures. Each representative of the core interests. To prepare travelogue, like all undertakings, requires time and dedication. Needs to throw in some creativities. In this area, you see I am still struggling. This girl in the picture is Jackie, my daughter. A source of encouragement. She is now in Australia and the "old faithful", by the time you read had being disposed off.
The present - With new companions, I have trimmed trekking and going to Waterfalls to the minimum. My outings targets these days are - Birds.
At home, before I could improve my websites, I am spending more time in Video editing.

The year 2007 - the going is good -  I am still trying
